POINT 01

States must include migrants in emergency solutions.

We have all lived in quarantine and curfews for long weeks or months.
We have all been restricted in our movements in a confined space: our home.
But there are those who have suffered greater restrictions on their fundamental rights
because they have not had any access to social services or social protection for months.
Migrants, refugees and Stateless citizens need urgent support.
Every government of every country must respect their rights and include them in every emergency response to the Covid pandemic.
Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected

POINT 02

States must integrate migrant workers into solutions.

There are millions of people who are on the front line of essential jobs,
such as delivery, nursing, sanitization or food harvesting.

But they happen to be at the last line of access to the public health system,
which guarantees them real prevention and treatment measures against Covid.

That is why migrants, as well as refugees and Stateless citizens,
urgently need to be taken into account by the States.

They must be integrated, without discrimination, in every social protection policies against the Covid pandemic.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected

POINT 03

POINT 04

States must guarantee the rights of migrant workers.

Mask, alcohol gel and gloves: the most basic protection set for any worker against the Covid pandemic.

It is our right that we are given access to this equipment and that there are sanitary measures to prevent contagion in our workplaces.

This same protection is needed by migrant workers.

Because we are all equal workers, we all have equal rights.
That is why States must ensure and guarantee these rights.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 05

States must integrate migrant healthcare workers.

There are those who every day risk their lives on the front lines of health care to fight Covid.

And there are also thousands of other health professionals who but left aside because of their migrant condition.

They are perfectly certified and willing to contribute, but they cannot because of the restriction policies they face in practicing their profession.

That is why States must implement measures to integrate migrant health workers: because we need their help and they need ours.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 06

States must facilitate access to online learning for migrant children.

In 2021, enhanced by the Covid pandemic, thousands of migrant children will end another year without a single day of school.

Thousands of girls and boys without the possibility of being educated because they do not have access to internet or a computer.

Heads of States must respond by providing access to virtual education for the sons and daughters of migrants, without discrimination.

Help us spread the message

All are equally vulnerable, all are equally protected.

3
POINT 07

States must include all migrants in the economic recovery programs.

Every human being around the planet has suffered the consequences of the Covid pandemic.
Millions have seen their incomes drastically reduced. Or found themselves unemployed.

And there are also those who, having left everything -their country and their family-, have lost everything once again: the migrants.

It is an undeniable fact that migrants nourish the economies.
And the families left behind often depend on the money they receive.

That is why they need support.
States must include them, without discrimination, in their economic recovery policies.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 08

States should establish shelters with sanitary measures for migrants.
The Covid virus made us all to stay at home so we can take care of each other.
Some of us had no choice but to take the risk to step outside to earn an income.

But for migrants, the pandemic has been the second humanitarian crisis of their lives.
They are in a new country, utterly exposed and without a safety net.

They need the same support as we all do.

That is why States must create shelters with adequate sanitary conditions to give them care and protection.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 09

States must protect migrants seeking refuge.

We have all experienced the deep crisis the Covid pandemic has meant.

But there are those who are living a second humanitarian crisis, one on top of the other: the migrants.

Human beings, as you and me, that had to leave their countries for they were being persecuted or had no way to survive.

XX (official data) millions of people have migrated during the pandemic, risking everything to find asylum, refuge and better welfare for their families.

We must speak out so that States protect them by guaranteeing access to their territories and not leaving them adrift.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 10

States should protect migrants in need of medical treatment.

We should all have access to social services, such as quality health care.
Especially during a pandemic.

But there are those who have not received even basic medical treatment: Migrants, refugees and stateless citizens are discriminated against because of their legal migratory status.

This is unacceptable. They are people, just like you and me. That is why States must protect all migrants who need medical treatment regardless of their legal status,

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 11

States should control the detention of migrants to reduce their population.

As fellow human beings we have all suffered during the pandemic some way or another.

But there are those who have suffered differently: separated from their families, parents and children, without access to healthcare and overcrowded in migrant detention centers.

This is intolerable and has no trace of compassion or empathy.

That is why states must control the use of these detention centers, creating community spaces with the principles of "do no harm" and "equivalence of care”.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 12

States should promote the regularization of migrants.

We have all suffered the consequences of the pandemic.
We have all seen our incomes reduced or, worse, lost our jobs.

But for a migrant, a regular job is a lot more than an income.
A migrant who has lost his job is vulnerable to deportation.

Today, the Covid pandemic has xx (data) migrants adrift, without their papers up to date and without access to healthcare, excluded from all social services.

That is why they need urgent support: States must regularize their situation by extending their work visas to protect their human rights.

Help us spread the message.

All equally vulnerable, all equally protected.

3
POINT 13

States must guarantee migrant’s safe return to their native countries.

Within our unique realities, we’ve all been through months of lockdown.

But there are those who were left trapped in a foreign country, and can’t wait to return to their families.

Travel restrictions and border shutdowns should not leave migrants astray.
International solidarity is a key aspect in order to acknowledge migrant’s rights, and it requires teamwork.

Equally vulenrable, equally protected.

3
POINT 14

States must temporarily postpone deportations.

The pandemic has left us all vulnerable and fearful of catching the virus or losing our jobs.

And there’s also those who, on top of that, are scared of being deported and stripped of their right to appeal in court if they ever became infected.

This exposes migrants and their countries to dangerous situations, in the middle of a pandemic.

For this reason, it is vital that massive deportations are postponed. Their rights must be respected, just like anybody else’s.

Equally vulenrable, equally protected.

3
POINT 15

States must prevent discrimination against migrants.

We’ve all been hit by this pandemic. We’ve all been vulnerable.

Today, millions of migrants have been blamed for this crisis, but they are not responsible. On the contrary, they are the ones that expose themselves so that everyone else can be safe.

This is why each one of us, alongside the world’s governments, must prevent hate speech. We are all people.

Equally vulenrable, equally protected.

3
POINT 16

All institutions and civil organizations must help to keep watch on their human rights.

We’ve all been vulnerable because we are all humans.
But there’s those who have also been exposed to human rights violations, because they are part of the frontline.

We all have a part to play in stopping this situation.

This is why institutions and organizations all over the world must participate in order to protect migrants and their families.

Equally vulenrable, equally protected.

3
POINT 17

States must respect treaties that protect migrants.

We’ve all needed our family, friends or neighbor’s help during this pandemic..

Together, we have taken care of each other to avoid exposing ourselves.

And just like us, migrants need our help to stay protected.

This is why global solidarity is vital.

States must work together in order to include migrants in every safety measure, and respect the treaties that protect their human rights.

Equally vulenrable, equally protected.
